Ghast

A Ghast is a giant, floating white mob that lives in the Nether. It makes a sad crying sound and shoots fireballs from far away.

How It Attacks

Ghasts float through the air and shoot explosive fireballs at players from a distance. But here's a secret trick: if you hit the fireball back with your sword at just the right time, it flies back and hits the Ghast instead!

Good to Know

• Ghasts are big, so they're hard to miss — but their fireballs travel fast.
• They can shoot through walls if you're too close to an opening.
• Ghasts drop a special item called Ghast Tears when defeated.
