Creeper

The Creeper is a green, blocky mob that sneaks up quietly... and then explodes. It's one of the most famous monsters in all of Minecraft.

How It Attacks

A creeper doesn't make much noise while it's walking. When it gets close, it starts to hiss and puff up — that's your warning to run! A few seconds later, boom.

How to Stay Safe

• Listen for the hissing sound and back away fast.
• Hit it from a distance with arrows so it can't get close.
• Creepers don't take fall damage, so they can drop down on you from above — look up too!
